What age groups do you teach?

At LWDA, Classes are broken down into the following age groups: Junior Unit (JU) Ages 2-5, Elementary School Unit (ESU) ages 6-11, Middle/High School Unit (MHSU) ages 12-18, and College to Adult Unit (CAU) ages 19+



What are your Dance classes like?

Typically classes are combined with ESU and MHSU age levels sharing the same
class time. However, each age group receives dedicated technique according to
their age group and proficiency level. JU has their own class time as well as CAU.



How many days do students come to class?

For the Innovative Arts Education Program, students attend twice per week.
Adult classes commence once per week.



How much does the LWDA program cost?

Regular monthly tuition for the LWDA Innovative Arts Education Program is just $75.00 per month, per student. Adult classes are $35 per class, or discounted at $120.00 if paying monthly.



How long is each class?

The Innovative Arts Education Youth Classes are 2.5 hours long. The Junior Unit classes are 1.5 hours long. Adult classes are 1.5 ours long.



Are you a daycare/childcare program?

NO. LWDA is not a licensed childcare or daycare facility. Parents/guardians are required to remain on the premises for students attending the JU classes. For ESU and MHSU classes, parents and/or guardians are not required to remain on site, however it is recommended that they stay and observe their student’s progress and behavior, and lend support. Staff is available, but not for childcare services.



Do you have any discounts for siblings?

Yes! Siblings receive $10 off monthly tuition. Please email us to receive a
specialized registration form. (info@leahwillisdancearts.org)



Do you provide refunds for classes not attended?

No. LWDA does not issue refunds for unattended classes. Unless extenuating circumstances arise preventing any classes from being attended, once tuition has already been paid, no refunds are issued. Each circumstance will be reviewed by LWDA staff on a case by case basis.



Do you offer volunteer hours/credits for High School or College students or employees?

Yes! Volunteer hours can be accrued and/or earned by volunteering at LWDA.



What dance styles do you teach?

We teach 7 different dance styles: Ballet, Tap, West African, Jazz, Modern/Contemporary, Urbanity (Hip Hop) and Salsa.



Is there a registration fee?

No! LWDA does not charge registration fees.



Are there any performance fees?

No! LWDA does not charge performance fees.



Do I have to pay for costumes for my student?

No! LWDA provides nearly ALL costumes for all Dancers! Some items and/or accessories may need to be purchased by parents/guardians, but all majorc costumes are provided.

How do I pay for tuition?

Tuition is paid online via our Registration page securely through SQUARE.
